Come to the
ricefields.
An open invitation for international musicians to meet local artists, exchange ideas and create a live world-music experience in the landscape of Danuwuh, Central Java, Indonesia.
A stage without walls.
Gendhing is opening a creative space for international musicians who want to collaborate in Indonesia — not as a conventional commercial booking, but as an artistic exchange rooted in place, culture and shared curiosity.

Music, place, people.
The Danuwuh concept brings handpan, cello, traditional Javanese elements, local dancers, food culture and the landscape together in one intimate experience.
We welcome proposals from musicians, vocalists, instrumentalists, composers and cross-disciplinary artists who can contribute a distinctive voice to the program.
This invitation is unpaid. No performance fee or artist honorarium is provided. Travel, accommodation, meals, local transport or other support are separate arrangements and are not guaranteed.
“Let the landscape become part of the music.”
Danuwuh at golden hour.
Rice fields, mountain air, traditional food and an intimate stage built into the landscape.
