About the Artist

Tradition as a living, evolving language.

Composer & multi-instrumentalist

Jaeko's musical language is closely connected to the exploration of ethnic instruments, particularly traditional flutes and percussion. His work moves between instrumental practice, composition and arrangement, drawing inspiration from the diverse sound traditions of Indonesia.

Rather than treating tradition as something fixed, he approaches it as living knowledge that can be reinterpreted and brought into dialogue with contemporary contexts.

Memory, sound & experimentation

Jaeko's creative practice often explores childhood, collective memory and the sounds of everyday life. Through experimental composition, familiar sonic details can become the starting point for new musical narratives.

His work connects personal and collective memories with the textures of traditional instruments, modern musical tools and sounds found in daily surroundings.
